Board of Directors
Mr. David Kwabla Kattah (Board Chairman)
Since 2018, Mr. David Kwabla Kattah has presided over the Teachers’ Fund board. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Certificate in Corporate Governance. He is a Member of the Institute of Directors Ghana (IOD-GH). Additionally, David has obtained Certificates in Negotiation, Management, Leadership and Pensions from institutions in Ghana, United Kingdom, and Germany.
As an educationist, David holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics with English all from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Teachers Certificate ‘A’ from the Dambai College of Education. He is currently the Headmaster of Tsiame Senior High Technical School.
As a Unionist, David has risen steadily through the ranks of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) as a School Representative, Local Secretary, District Vice Chairman, District Chairman, to his current Volta Regional GNAT Chairmanship position rendering about 22 years of service to GNAT. He also served as the Volta Regional Coordinator for the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) during the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 General Elections in Ghana.
Dr. Frank Albert Odoom
Dr. Frank Odoom had his initial university education at the University of Cape Coast where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in science education and later proceeded to Iowa State University in the USA where he obtained a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in 1988. He later obtained an MSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Manitoba in Canada in 1994.
Dr. Odoom has extensive experience in Actuarial Practices, Social Security Administration, and Governance.
He previously held the positions of Senior Pension and Insurance Expert for African Union between September 2017 and December 2019, Director General of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) from 2010 to 2013, Chief Executive Officer of Quality Insurance Company Limited from 2002 to 2010, and Senior Management and Actuary, and General Manager (Technical) and Chief Actuary at SSNIT from 1989 and 2001.
Dr. Odoom has worked as a lecturer at various universities in Ghana, the United States, and Canada. He has also offered consulting services in Ghana and internationally in the fields of retirement pension plans and actuarial valuation of social security programs.
He has attended, participated, and made presentations at several international and local conferences on Insurance and Social Security for Actuaries and Statisticians under the auspices of the International Social Security Association and other Professional Associations.
Dr. Odoom had previously served on the board of Ghana International Bank – London (as non-Executive director), African World Airlines (as Board member), Sentuo Steel Company (as Board member), Ghana Stock Exchange (as Council Member), Governing Council of Ghana Insurance College (as Council member) and Quality Insurance Company Ltd (as Board member).
He currently serves on the following boards: Africa Centre for Retirement Research (Board Chairman), Unique Insurance Company Ltd (Non-Executive Director), and Mainstream Reinsurance Company (Non-Executive Director).
He is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Ghana and presently serves on the Society’s Council of Elders. From 2004 to 2008, he served as the President.
Mr. Nicholas Ziemah
Mr. Ziemah Nicholas is an Educationist & a Specialist in Test development, Assessment, Measurement and Program Evaluation.
He is currently the Upper West Regional IPPD coordinator for the Ghana Education Service. Until his recent appointment as the IPPD Coordinator for the Upper West region, Mr Ziemah was the Sissala East Municipal Budget Officer, the Procurement Officer and the Officer in charge of the Personnel Processing section of the Municipal Education Directorate.
He holds a Masters Degree in Educational Measurement and Evaluation, a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics both from the University of Cape Coast and a certificate in Educational Consultancy from Neogenic education.
He is a Board member of Teachers’ Fund of GNAT representing the upper west region.
Mr. Nicholas Ziemah has severed on the following positions at the Sissala East Municipality of the Upper West Region:
* Immediate Past District Treasurer of GNAT for the Sissala GNAT.
* Member of the Sissala East Municipal Education Oversight Committee.
* Member of the Board of Governors of Kanton SHS.
He has extensive training in Donor Funded Project Management and Risk Management Skills, Interpretation of Financial Statements and Financial Administration.
